Sandra Weckert
"Not the system out there is my enemy, but my lack of faith in me and that I can achieve this."
Sandra Weckert, who grew up in the deepest East of Germany, learned to play the violin at the age of 6 and spent her childhood and youth in the school and music school of the GDR system. On the one hand, discipline and hard work helped her to master 18 instruments and to realize a wide variety of commissioned compositions, especially for children and young people. On the other hand, she found the educational system of the GDR to be extremely overwhelming and it made her a rebel.
After studying pedagogy with the subjects German, music and English, she worked as a teacher in schools of all forms, in adult education and music schools of all kinds, made a career as a jazz saxophonist and released 10 CDs / records.
In 2009 she founded her own academy, the braintreeacademy®, which currently maintains 3 branches in Berlin, Cuxhaven and Ulm and trains team developers with the bigbandmethod®. Nationwide, the braintreeacademy® is active for schools of all kinds and works with groups of up to 500 people.
Brandenburgertor concert on the occasion of the fall of the Berlin Wall
2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. In view of this date, we want to work together with all people in Germany to
a huge concert together on 09.11.2019.
