A volunteer year in Brazil, a study of energy and process technology at the TU Berlin and the activity as construction manager in the artistic building design are only some of the life stations, which Helmut Wolman experienced.

Helmut is co-founder of the ideas workshop of tomorrow, where he trains former development policy volunteers as education agents and supports teachers through workshops at schools and inspires them with current global topics. Helmut also initiated the map of tomorrow, which brings together local and sustainable initiatives on a virtual map. As a board member of Ideen³, he is supportive in opening up spaces for personal and joint development. The education agent works full-time for the Friends of Waldorf Education in Karlsruhe and is the project coordinator for the Germany-wide school tour "Future View Bulli Tour".

For Helmut education should concern abilities instead of knowledge: My goal is an "action pedagogy of the advanced level". Instead of dry knowledge, we let ourselves be inspired, meet courageous people, discover ourselves and shape the world around us. "You don't understand a system, unless you change it" this sentence by Otto Scharmer gets to the point when education becomes exciting and there is enough that we should change in our society...
